My stay

How long may you stay? The app works it out for you.

Pick your kind of stay, from visa-exempt and tourist visa to retirement, marriage, DTV, LTR and O-X, and enter your last arrival. Sabai puts your end date, the extension, the 90-day report, a re-entry permit and the dates for your money in the bank on one timeline.

  • Every rule comes from a guide, with its source
  • If your passport stamp shows a date, that date counts
  • Everything can be edited and it stays on your phone

Reminders and widgets

A nudge in time, and your countdown always in view

Sabai reminds you of your end date, the extension, the 90-day report and the date for your money in the bank, at 09:00 by default. Widgets count down to your next deadline.

  • A notification a week and a day before your end date
  • Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen
  • Tap a reminder and you land in My stay

And more

Everything for your stay in Thailand, in one app

  • Checklists

Which papers to bring, per visa, straight from the guides. When a guide changes, your checklist changes with it.

  • Money calculator

What each visa asks in money and fees, in baht with a euro indication at the ECB rate. Or calculate with your own rate.

  • Emergency numbers

Police (191), Tourist Police (1155), ambulance (1669) and the Dutch and Belgian embassies. One tap and you are calling.

  • The forum in the app

Read and write on sabai.forum: topics, replies, private messages and notifications, also as push notifications. Signing in is optional.

  • Dutch and English

Choose your language in the app. Every screen, every reminder and the widgets follow that choice.

  • On iPad too

On iPad you get a sidebar with every part of the app. For iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later.

Your stay stays yours

Sabai works out your dates on your own phone. Nothing goes to a server, unless you sign in to the forum yourself.

  • Your stay, ticks and rate are stored only on your phone.
  • The app downloads the public guides and, when you ask, the ECB rate.
  • No account needed: you can read the forum without one.
  • If you sign in, the forum keeps what you post and, for notifications, your phone’s notification address, your language and your choices. Signing out deletes the notification address.
  • You delete your account yourself, in the app (More, Sabai account) or on sabai.forum in Settings.
  • No ads and no tracking.

For the radio from home: Dutch and Belgian stations live, in your browser right now. Soon as an app for iPhone, iPad and Mac too, and after that for Android.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about the app

When will the app be on the App Store?

Soon. The app was submitted to Apple on 13 October 2026 and has been in App Review since that day. As soon as you can download it, the link will be on this page.

What does the app cost?

Nothing. Sabai: Living in Thailand is free to download and has no ads.

Do I need an account?

No. The guides, My stay, the checklists and the money calculator work without an account. To post on the forum or get notifications, you sign in with your Sabai account.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. The guides are on your phone and your stay is worked out on your phone. With internet, the app downloads the latest versions of the guides.

Is this official advice?

No. Sabai gives general information based on official sources, with the source and the date of the last check for every rule. The Thai embassy or the immigration office decides, and the date in your passport stamp always comes first.

Where can I get help with the app?

Email info@abn.company or use the form at sabai.forum/en/contact. If you spot a mistake in a guide, report it there too, with the name of the guide.

Until the app is out

Every guide is already on sabai.forum

Read the visa guides on the website, ask your question in Visa & Immigration or start a topic. What you do on the forum, you find back in the app.

The screens on this page come from the app itself; the dates in them are an example.
