Sabai

House rules

Community rules

The agreements below keep the forum pleasant for everyone who really has something to share here. They apply on the website and in the Sabai app.

1. Keep it friendly

Write the way you would talk to a neighbour. No swearing, no personal attacks, no stirring things up. People want to be able to ask questions here in peace.

2. Be concrete

Give context. Do not post a single loose sentence as a topic. Say what you are trying to do, what you have already looked into and what exactly your question is. The clearer your story, the better the answers.

3. One subject per topic

Do not ask several questions in one thread. Post a new topic in the right category for each subject. That helps others who search later.

4. No spam, no disguised advertising

Promotion of your own services belongs in Marketplace. Chain messages, referrals to dubious sites or hidden affiliate links are removed immediately.

5. Do not pretend to give legal, financial or medical advice

Share your experiences, not as if you were a professional. For visas, taxes, health or property: always consult someone formally trained for it. Sabai is a community, not a consultancy.

6. Respect privacy

Do not post personal data, photos or names of others without permission. No licence plates, passport scans, phone numbers or bank details.

7. Write in English here

Sabai is a Dutch-language forum, and this English section is deliberately in English. Quotes and links to Dutch or Thai sources are fine, but please write your topics and replies here in English.

8. Moderation

The editors can close, pin, move or remove topics that do not meet these rules. No tolerance for hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, violent or illegal content or for abuse of other members. We remove such content within 24 hours and block the account. Moderation decisions are recorded in a moderation log.

9. Reporting something

Is a topic getting out of hand? Click "Report" on the post or use this page. In the app you can also block a member; the moderators are told about it. We look at every report within 24 hours.
