Terms

What you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what happens if things go wrong.

This is an English translation. If the English and Dutch versions differ, the Dutch version applies.

Using Sabai

Sabai is free to use for anyone aged 16 or over. These terms apply to the website sabai.forum and to the Sabai app. By signing up you agree to these terms and to the community rules.

Your content

Topics and replies you post remain yours. You give Sabai a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to display, store and index your content on the forum and in the Sabai app. You can delete your account yourself at any time, in Settings on the website or in the app, after which your content is anonymised or deleted, as you choose.

What is not allowed

No tolerance for hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, violent or illegal content or for abuse of other members. We remove such content within 24 hours and block the account.

  • Spam, chain messages, or automated posting without permission.
  • Content that harms others (hateful, misleading, fraudulent).
  • Content that infringes the intellectual property of third parties.
  • Attempts to undermine the technology or security of the platform.

Moderation

We can edit, close or remove topics, replies or accounts if they break these terms or the community rules. New posts first pass an automatic filter; what it holds back, the moderators look at before it appears. You can report every post and every member, and block a member in the app; a block also reaches the moderators. We look at every report within 24 hours.

Liability

Sabai is a forum, not an advisory firm. We do our best to keep the platform available and reliable, but we give no guarantees. Content posted by users is their responsibility, not Sabai's. For visa, tax, legal or medical decisions: consult a professional.

Changes

We can change these terms when necessary. Material changes are announced in advance on the homepage. By continuing to use Sabai after a change, you accept the new version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. We first try to resolve disputes between ourselves. If that does not work, the Dutch courts have jurisdiction.
